The differences lie in the materials used and their impact on the construction, characteristics and performance of the kite in extreme conditions.

Predictable in the unpredictable

For 2025 North has improved the Orbit to provide faster turns, more direct bar response, even more vertical thrust and stability. This allows riders of all levels to jump higher, loop faster and smoother, while always controlling the kite's position.

ORBIT PRO

Not for the faint of heart

Extreme jumps, double loops and spectacular board-offs. The Pro model is maximum performance for intermediate and advanced riders looking to take their tricks to the next level. Lighter, optimized design with N-Max2 frame allows for even faster steering and longer hangtime.

ORBIT ULTRA

The lightest and most reactive version of the iconic Orbit, designed for extreme jumps and loops in an even wider wind range. The use of ultralight Aluula material with high stiffness allowed to reduce the diameter of the main tube and crossbars, which makes the kite fly faster and deeper in the wind window.

Pro Carbon

The advanced carbon layer system provides a dynamic and responsive ride at the highest level. The combination of 10K carbon fiber fabric, 300gsm triax carbon and unique North 3DY tapes gives incredible responsiveness and increased stiffness.

Triaxial Hybrid Carbon

New, specially designed hybrid construction with a triaxial fiberglass laminate (0 and +/- 45 degrees) increases the board's stiffness and improves its responsiveness. 3DY carbon tape reinforcements in key areas and a Paulownia wood core make the board provide a smoother ride and a more forgiving flex, so you can ride longer and more comfortably.

Biaxial Hybrid Carbon

A lighter biaxial fiberglass construction tailored to the rider's needs. Specifically targeted e-glass layers and 3DY carbon tapes optimize the load on individual fibers, giving the board flex and pop without being too stiff. Lightweight yet durable Paulownia wood core.

Composite

The Paulownia wood core combined with e-glass laminates on the top and bottom of the board takes riding performance to a new level. Paulownia is one of the most durable and lightweight wood species, with high resistance to damage. Each board has a custom core thickness, ensuring consistent performance across the board, regardless of your weight and height.
