The ION Wing/SUP Leash Core Coiled Hip Safety is a leash built for riders who expect not just comfort and freedom of movement, but also an extra level of safety while riding. Characteristics
A leash mounted to a hip belt keeps a greater distance between the rider and the board, reducing the risk of tangling and improving comfort during starts, turns and pumping. This solution is especially valued in wingfoiling and SUP, where freedom of movement on the board matters a lot.
The biggest difference compared to the standard version is the Quick Release system, which lets you instantly detach the leash from the belt with a single motion in critical situations. This is especially important when riding in tougher conditions or anywhere a fast release from your gear could matter for safety.
A 7mm-thick coiled urethane cord provides the right durability and elasticity for everyday riding, and stainless steel swivels prevent the leash from twisting. The construction isn't intended for big waves, but performs excellently in standard freeride, wave riding and SUP conditions.
