The Board Armstrong Downwind Performance 2025 is an ultralight, extended board for advanced riders, built for maximum efficiency in competitive downwind and freeride, with an emphasis on a fast take-off, precise handling and full control in flight.

The Downwind Performance boards were designed for advanced riders seeking maximum performance in freeride and downwind racing. Elongated and narrowed, the DWP models have an ultralight outer layer of Innegra carbon sandwich and a proven double-stringer construction, providing exceptional stiffness and low weight.

DWP boards feature solutions that maximize efficiency in paddling, getting up on the foil and recovering balance after touching the water. Their length, speed and directional stability make take-offs easier even on very small foils. The refined nose shape with a split front deck easily pierces through and drains water, while the new diamond-V tail and increased tail rocker allow for remarkably effective release from the water's surface.

Inspired by the new deck grip from the Wing FG models, the Downwind and Downwind Performance boards have been fitted with a completely new pad designed specifically for maximum control, comfort and versatility while downwind riding. Combined with a flat deck, the grip includes raised central strips over the foil rails and raised blocks in every corner of the pad - at the front and back - for intuitive foot guidance. The boards ship with the grip unmounted, so you can fit it yourself to your own preferences.

Extremely fast

The shape and rocker of the Downwind Performance board have been designed to maximize speed - a slender, sharply pointed nose and tail and a narrow midsection, combined with a subtle nose rocker and a clean, efficient tail exit, allow for instant release from the water's surface.
