Drawing on the experience gained from the firstDownwind board series introduced in 2023, the new generation of these boards is faster, more refined and even more stable at a given size - both for beginners and advanced riders. Like the previous version, these boards are remarkably versatile and also work great for light-wind wing foiling and SUP foiling.

To increase efficiency and make paddle take-offs easier, each board has been lengthened by 3.5-5%, which improves paddling speed and increases stability. The foil rails have now been shifted further forward, which improves maneuverability and increases lift. Combined with subtle changes to the rocker line and tail shape, the boards release from the water's surface remarkably smoothly and easily.

Inspired by the new deck pad pattern from the Wing FG boards, the Downwind and Downwind Performance models received a completely redesigned pad, providing maximum control, comfort and versatility during downwind runs. Thanks to a flatter deck, the grip now has raised central strips over the foil rails and shaped corner blocks at the front and back, making intuitive foot positioning easier. The boards ship with an unglued grip pad, so you can perfectly tailor the setup to your own needs.
