Waves are a blank canvas, and the new surf foil board is a precision tool for drawing your line on it. This 100% surf-oriented construction is very responsive and easy to paddle - both for beginners and advanced riders. The shape has been optimized to provide stability under your chest while popping up, while still being ready for extreme turns and smashing through foam with no resistance. It provides a direct connection to the foil - it's thin for its volume and stiff, so it reacts instantly under your feet. Six sizes - from 3'11" (20L) to 4'11" (48L) - bring a new level of foil surfing to riders of different weights and skill levels.

Outline
Surf is a completely new shape, designed from scratch, different from our earlier surf-oriented boards. Its outline is inspired by a classic surfboard, especially in the full nose, where extra foam provides more paddling comfort by supporting your chest. The rails taper smoothly down into a square tail, which offers plenty of width and allows for fast foot positioning during critical take-offs. The width in each size has been chosen to balance stability with the ability to ride aggressively on the rail - the result is a board that's easy to use but fully high-performance.

Rocker, rails and deck
The rocker line is essentially flat with a slight nose lift, which makes paddling easier and more efficient. A flat deck and full rails provide an even volume distribution, which allowed us to reduce the thickness of each board. The thin, stiff construction gives a more direct feel of the foil working, strengthening the connection between the rider and the wave.

The bottom and foil tracks
This board was designed for a progressive foil surfing style, ridden just above the water's surface. A subtle double-concave bottom flowing into a V-shaped tail improves water flow and minimizes sticking to the surface - which benefits both learners and advanced riders attacking foam. Unlike our Forward Geometry series boards, the foil mounting tracks on the Surf model are shifted further back to maintain proper mast balance with a shorter board length.

More grip, more control
Redefine your footwork. The deck pad on the Surf board has been designed to maximize control and comfort, giving you full freedom of style on a wave. While it feels similar to the pads on our other boards, this model stands out with special micro-grooves in the main section, which provide great grip during strapless maneuvers while still being flat enough to allow easy foot repositioning while riding. On the tail there's a full-size kick pad with extra traction zones and a mark showing the foil track position underneath. Holes in the pad make it easy to access the footstrap screw inserts.

A proven construction
Maximum construction stiffness gives an exceptional feel underfoot.
An ultra-stiff double-skin PVC sandwich construction, combined with Armstrong's prized longitudinal i-beam reinforcement layout, provides maximum structural stiffness and durability. The proprietary carbon foil tracks are embedded directly into the construction's core, creating a fully integrated, solid whole.
