Wind - Low-wind / Paddle foil
Product description:
A new level of downwind foiling
Ultra-narrow sizes deliver the fastest-accelerating downwind performance. Accelerate like never before and achieve impressively fast starts. The longer and narrower versions of the Ace Foil Lightning offer surprising stability and remarkable downwind performance.
Both models, the Ace Foil and Ace Foil Lightning, share the same shape, but differ in their size scaling. The Ace Foil Lightning is longer and narrower, which reduces water drag and lengthens the waterline, providing a faster glide and an earlier start - ideal for flat-water and downwind SUP foiling and racing. The Ace Foil, on the other hand, is a bit shorter and wider, offering a more playful and agile flight, with greater maneuverability in both downwind conditions and waves. Its compact construction limits sinking in turns, and the extra width provides stability. In short, the Ace Foil Lightning is optimized for speed, while the Ace Foil stands out for its agility and control.
Every gram of the board has been optimized for maximum efficiency - delivering explosive downwind acceleration and an effortless lift-off onto the foil.
The board is 15" to 19" wide, designed for lightning-fast acceleration and lift-off onto the foil. Keep up high speeds in the air thanks to smooth and efficient airflow. Besides being the fastest SUP downwind board in the lineup, the Ace Foil Lightning also works great as a crossover board - excellent for wing foiling in light wind and for flat-water foiling.
- 7'5" 83L - Our narrowest, most technologically advanced board with 83 l of volume, designed for ultra-fast acceleration using smaller, faster foils.
- 7'6" 87L - was the favorite choice among our R&D testers for downwind and pumping on flat water with smaller foils.
- 8'2 101L - A great option for longer downwinders. Its narrow, elongated shape was built for distance foiling, providing excellent airborne speed and fast acceleration onto the foil
- 8'4" 122L - Features a high aspect ratio for more speed, while still offering enough buoyancy for most riders; the 8'4" model combines generous volume with a fast construction.
- 8'10" 140L - For larger riders, the 8'10" x 19" model offers a generous 140 l of volume, while still keeping a high-aspect-ratio construction, providing impressive downwind acceleration and a fast start onto the foil
Type: Downwind / Paddle foil
Features:
- A HIGH-ASPECT-RATIO CONSTRUCTION AND PARALLEL OUTLINE
Based on a teardrop shape, the Lightning line has a straighter, more parallel outline to maximize stability and performance. - PIN TAIL
Steerability and performance are key features of the pin tail construction. The pin-shaped tail provides excellent handling over bumps, a fast and smooth start, and minimal water "catching" on contact with the surface. - Rocker
The rocker has been precisely tuned for speed, responsiveness and handling bigger waves. The rocker line was tested in different conditions - from flat water to big ocean swell - providing lightning-fast starts along with gentle, forgiving landings. - A Corduroy-Textured Deck Pad
Thanks to its dual corduroy texture, the pad enhances board feel, offering exceptional grip and comfort on every ride. Different corduroy patterns in the central area let you precisely feel where you're standing. - A Flat Deck
The deck surface has been maximized across the full width, providing more room and comfort despite the board's narrow outline.
Technology:
Blue Carbon Foilboard
A light, stiff and remarkably durable construction with a reinforced PVC standing area.
Top-quality 150 g biaxial carbon fiber wraps around the whole board, joining the deck and bottom overlap to create a flat stringer that significantly increases overall resistance to breakage.
High-density PVC used in the standing area provides extra impact resistance while keeping weight to an absolute minimum.
An ultralight, reinforced foil box was designed with five horizontal stringers and an extended PVC Omega stringer, which extends beyond the foil box area, increasing strength and control while sailing
