Fiber layout optimization using FEM
FEM is an advanced way of optimizing fiber layout, letting you precisely analyze exactly where and how much material is needed for a given construction. This eliminates unnecessary mass, using only as much material as needed to maximize performance and durability.
A one-piece, carbon-reinforced head
Thanks to the Zero-Gram Engineering method, every piece of material that doesn't carry load has been removed. This let us optimize the material distribution by eliminating unnecessary weight, while still keeping structural integrity and high performance. The head fits every mast type: RDM (with a shim), MDM and SDM.
A unique profile, curve and materials depending on size
Wave: Both sizes have a size-specific outline, which optimizes the boom for its range of use. The 135-185 size offers ideal geometry for sails from 3.3 to 4.7, while the 150-200 model works best with sails from 4.7 to 5.6.

X-Over: The size-specific body outline means this boom offers the best performance during fast sailing (blasting) with bigger X-over sails (from 5.0 up) and FreeSpeed sails across every size. The extremely stiff and light fiber layout allows for comfortable use of the boom even at its maximum extension.

Race: The shape and width of the Race booms have been optimized for Race, Foil and larger FreeSpeed sails. A rounded front section with the widest point shifted slightly toward the back provides a more ergonomic, performance-oriented position.

Wave and Race: Each of the two sizes has its own tail-end width, letting you achieve the ideal geometry that optimizes performance across the intended range of use.

Fiber-reinforced adjustment buckles
Fiber-reinforced buckles and adjustment pins create a remarkably small, light and elegant size-adjustment element, that's extremely durable. By eliminating rust-prone steel pins, you can be sure these buckles will last for years, without causing excessive wear on the carbon components
A textured grip
The textured grip surface improves hold and reduces effort while sailing.
Includes a cleat for the Loop and Go system (wave)
Included is an extra metal insert with a cleat, which lets you convert the boom's tail end into a Loop and Go system. This provides optimal compatibility with every type of sail.
A tail end set up for the boom-mounted adjustment system (X-Over)
The tail end in the 160-210 size is fitted with 3 pulleys, making it fully ready to work with an on-the-water tension adjustment system down the boom.
An internal mast-side adjustment system (only in the 180-230 size) (ONLY 180-230)
The Adjustable Outhaul system is routed inside the boom's tail end. This provides a remarkably light, elegant and efficient setup that's very easy to use and requires no extra parts. You simply rig the boom, get on the water, and easily fine-tune the sail with precision while sailing
