The Severne Enigma is an ultralight and very stiff carbon fiber windsurfing boom with an optimized stiffness-to-weight ratio, individually built and available in Wave, Freemove and Race variants, aimed at maximum performance, ergonomics and durability of the whole rig.

Product description:

The Severne Enigma is the absolute pinnacle of engineering in the windsurfing world, designed for uncompromising performance and durability. Every unit is individually built using advanced pre-preg carbon technology, achieving an unmatched stiffness-to-weight ratio. This construction isn't a mass-produced product but a precision tool that dramatically changes the feel of handling the whole rig.

A key element of the Enigma is the use of massively oversized front and tail sections, which guarantee extreme stability while still keeping a very small diameter at the grip area (as little as 25 mm in the Wave models). This allows for maximum comfort and drastically reduces forearm fatigue, even during the longest sessions on the water.

The boom is fitted with the proven Lockjaw head, which provides a stiff and reliable connection to the mast without needing extra adapters. The Uni-Grip finish, made from a single piece of EVA foam, guarantees durability and no annoying seams under your hands. Thanks to its unique geometry tailored to specific disciplines - from Wave, through Freemove, to Race - the Enigma is the benchmark for every other windsurfing equipment manufacturer.

Key features:

  • The highest stiffness-to-weight ratio 
    Thanks to using 100% high-grade pre-preg carbon, the Enigma is considered one of the lightest and, at the same time, stiffest booms in the world.

  • Oversized Front & Tail sections
    The front arc and the tail end have an increased diameter (they're "massive"), which drastically increases the construction's stiffness at key points, while still allowing the tubes at the grip area to be slimmed down.

  • The LOCKJAW head: Severne's proprietary solution, which eliminates play on the mast. The head is light, reliable and offers a very stiff connection to the mast, translating into an instant sail response.

  • An extremely thin grip (Slim Diameter)
    In the Wave models the tube diameter is just 25 mm. This provides unmatched comfort, better control over the rig and less forearm fatigue.

  • Uni-Grip wrap
    Using a single, solid piece of EVA foam (with no seams or cuts) significantly increases the grip's durability and prevents it from peeling.

  • The Loop-and-Go system
    The Wave and Freeride models use a quick outhaul line attachment system, while the Race models are set up for mounting on-the-water adjustment systems (Adjustable Outhaul).
