The Simmer Style SX4 boom is a high-quality entry-level aluminum boom that offers an ergonomic thin tube diameter, a stable head compatible with RDM and SDM masts, and a double pin system, making it the ideal choice for anyone starting their windsurfing adventure.

Product description:

The SX4 is our basic (entry-level) boom model. If you're just starting your windsurfing adventure, this is the ideal boom for you. It's equipped with a very stable "quick lock" head, which fits both SDM and RDM masts. The thin tube diameter (thin grip) means even people with smaller hands can count on a secure grip. Like our other models, the SX4 has a double pin lock system, which provides a very stiff connection between the body and the tail end, even at maximum extension. A large tail-end adjustment range lets you fit it to most of the sail sizes you'll need at the start of your journey.

The boom's profile and the width of the tail end are key to the rig providing the right balance between power and control. The profile in the 140 and 160 sizes was designed specifically for bump-n-jump sailing, where you want to be closer to the rig for better control. The 180 size has a wider outline, to give the rig the drive needed to reach high speeds. A wider tail end generates more power, while a narrower one provides more control. These parameters change depending on wind strength and windsurfing discipline, which is why each boom size was developed individually

Features:

BOOM HEAD
The boom head was designed for maximum grip on the mast. Thanks to a high-friction contact surface, the boom stays in place even during hard landings. A solid line hook provides excellent stability, and the boom lever lets you easily achieve the correct tension while clamping the boom in the right position.
BOOM PROFILE
The modern boom curve (bend curve) provides even pressure on the front and back hand, guaranteeing a natural, ergonomic position while sailing and automatically setting the sail at the right angle to the wind. This position changes depending on wind strength and windsurfing discipline, which is why each boom size was developed individually, to optimally match these requirements.
DOUBLE PIN LOCK
For precise load distribution, all booms in the SX line are equipped with a double pin lock system, which provides a stiff connection between the body and the tail end, even at maximum boom extension.
RDM SHIM
All SX6 booms up to and including size 180 have an integrated shim for RDM masts, providing a safe and stable fit with both RDM and SDM masts
