BoomSimmer SX8 Wide

The SX8 is a high-end boom made from pre-preg carbon fiber, offering most of the advanced solutions known from our flagship SX10 model. The use of a standard-grade pre-preg made it possible to create a fully carbon boom at a very attractive price. The monocoque body construction and the carbon rear section make the SX8 exceptionally stiff, strong and light.

For maximum comfort while riding, the SX8 is equipped with a very thin grip. The diameter was chosen based on each size's intended use: 25.5 mm for the 140 and 150 models and 29.5 mm for the 180 model. The boom's shape was individually developed for each size to ensure optimal performance of the whole rig. The head was designed for maximum grip on the mast. A high-friction contact surface, a solid line hook and a lever that makes it easy to achieve high tension during setup guarantee a secure and stable attachment. The double-pin locking system ensures even load distribution and a very stiff connection between the monocoque body and the carbon rear section, even at maximum extension.
