Building on the heritage of our first HA (high aspect) foil series, originally introduced in 2021, the new HA line offers an unprecedented combination of turning ability, easy pumping and endless glide, opening up entirely new possibilities for intermediate and advanced riders in surf foil, downwind and wing foil. Seven sizes - 580, 680, 780, 880, 980, 1080 and 1180 cm² - form a complete set for every occasion. The new HA series is the quintessence of foiling.

The newly developed cross-section shape, outline and profile give the HA foils a remarkable "best of both worlds" character: they allow for beautiful, dynamic turns as well as easily staying high in the pumping power zone, maximizing your wave-riding potential. The wing's cross-section changes progressively across the full span (the so-called "evolutive section shape"), which greatly increases gliding efficiency and provides consistent lift across different bank angles and flight speeds.
For those riding the previous generation of Armstrong HA foils, we recommend sizing down - e.g. from the HA925 to the new HA880 - to keep the familiar ease of pumping while significantly boosting overall performance.

The new HA series was built on two years of research conducted together with a leading CFD team from the racing hydrofoil sailboat industry. These foils turn beautifully, and their profile has been optimized for "hugging the wave", allowing you to smoothly and naturally link wave lines together. Excellent lift lets riders go down a full size compared to previous HA foils, gaining greater agility and a wider speed range, while keeping an easy low-end speed range.

High-aspect foils are subjected to enormous torsional forces in the water, especially while turning. That's why the new HA series is built from top-quality, high- and medium-modulus Toray carbon fibers, which made it possible to create an extremely strong, stiff and light foil that performs excellently under the feet of intermediate and advanced riders. The consistency of the laminate structure combined with our leading manufacturing quality guarantees the highest level of performance and durability.
