We created the MAv2 Prime Edition to make it easier for you to start your foiling adventure, get through the harder stages of learning faster, and shorten your learning curve. It's the ideal starter set for progressing in all foiling disciplines. Compatible with all North Foil products and fully interchangeable, the Prime Edition set consists of the Prime Mid Aspect front wing (MA1200v2 to MA2400v2), a Freeride/0 Series stabilizer, an A700 fuselage, an AF80 aluminum mast and an AF board adapter.

Prime front wings, made from e-glass pre-preg laminate, are molded in the same molds as our pre-preg carbon fiber wings and offer the same high performance, durability and impact resistance, but at a more affordable price.

The Prime Edition set comes in a spacious, multifunctional padded bag with compartments for every component, bolts, tools and marine grease. All Sonar Foil systems are compatible with any foilboard fitted with the standard 165x90mm mounting rail spacing.

MAv2 Prime front wing

A stable, easy-to-use Freeride wing offering durability and impact resistance at a more affordable price. The Sonar Prime Edition version is compatible with all Sonar front wings.

Sonar AF80 mast

The aluminum mast combines lightweight construction with exceptional strength and works well in every discipline. Upgradeable to any Sonar mast from 55cm to 110cm in length, or to a mast integrated with the Foil Drive propulsion system.

GeoLock Load Bearing Connection

A unique North locking system with a tapered geometry. Bolts clamp the GeoLock system so the load is transferred across the entire cross-section of the mast. The mast and fuselage feel like a single, unified piece.

Sonar AF foilboard adapter

Finite element analysis (FEA) allowed strength to be increased in the areas most exposed to load and unnecessary mass to be reduced where stresses are lower. The solid, geometry-locking connection ensures efficient energy transfer and direct foil feedback.

Standard 165x90mm bolt spacing

Compatible with any foilboard fitted with a 90mm mounting rail, as well as with our unique DropBox quick-mount system, where a guide alongside the rail makes correct positioning easier. Bolts for mounting the foil to the board are sold separately.

700mm Fuselage

Smooth, stable and ideal for learning to foil. The forgiving 700mm length delays the tipping point, giving you more time to react. The hydrodynamically optimized shape minimizes drag in the water.

Sonar travel bag

A durable, padded 600D travel bag that holds several wings and masts in separate sleeves. It's also deep enough to leave the board adapter and mast connected, speeding up foil disassembly.
