THE COMPLETE IQFOIL SET CONSISTS OF THREE PACKAGES: BOARD PACKAGE, SAIL PACKAGE AND FOIL PACKAGE. BELOW ARE THE DETAILS FOR THE FOIL PACKAGES.

The IQFoil Aluminium comes with a 95cm V5 aluminium mast. It is constructed from extruded 6061 aluminium which we have selected for its strength, weight and excellent corrosion resistance. The V5 is exceptionally strong and exceptionally stiff, making it suitable for windsurfing foiling.

WINGS

FRONT WING

The 800 size front wing is a wing designed for all-round racing in medium to strong wind conditions. Designed by Tom Speer, the profile is thin and relatively symmetrical, providing speed and consistency. It has enough shape to provide consistent lift and grip at a variety of speeds. This is crucial for overcoming light winds, handling strong gusts and creating a wing you can trust in all racing conditions - overtaking, defending your line, recovering from small mistakes and confidently foiling.

TAIL WING

iQFoil kits come with a 255 -2° tail wing, allowing for lower angles than the standard 255. This helps increase speed and wind range in stronger winds.

IQFOIL USES THE "PLUS" CONCEPT

Compared to the Race Model, the iQFoil replaces the standard 115 fuselage with the new 115 Plus fuselage.

The new fuselage has a front wing further forward than its predecessor and a reduced rear wing angle to be balanced with the front wing, creating a high-performance foil geometry. (NZ Patent App. No. 751177). When levitating the wing at more parallel angles, you will get more speed, more acceleration and more control.

SADDLE SYSTEM

The IQ Foil Plus uses a saddle system mount for maximum stiffness of the wing to fuselage connection. The front wing sits on a wide flat surface and is locked in place with four M6 Torx screws. The threads are anodized and reinforced with stainless steel for strength and corrosion resistance.

Will this Fuselage work with other wings and masts?

Yes. The Fuselage is compatible with all masts and wings that use the Sadle system. However, in the case of the One Design class, using an item that is not an official iQFoil approved item would make the foil ineligible for racing.

REAR WING MOUNTING SYSTEM

The rear wing also uses a saddle system. There is a spacer between the wing and the fuselage. Allows you to adjust the angle of the rear wing to optimize performance based on wind speed and desired setup: more power or more control.

These are suggested baffle angles for beginners. Every rider will find their optimal angles depending on weight, height, technique, and racing style.
