Armstrong UHA Front Foil

The Armstrong UHA (Ultra High Aspect) Front Foil is the newest generation of front wings, built for riders who want to cover greater distances with minimal effort. Thanks to an aspect ratio of AR 12.6, the wing offers exceptional glide, a very low stall speed and smooth handling, while keeping the intuitive turning ability that's characteristic of Armstrong.

Characteristics

The UHA series was designed for maximum hydrodynamic efficiency. The slim profile and ultra-high aspect ratio let you hold speed for much longer, so the rider needs fewer pumping strokes and can link waves or swell sections more easily.

Despite its very high AR, the UHA keeps predictable, intuitive handling. The wing initiates turns smoothly, without feeling 'locked in,' which is a common trait of extreme-aspect designs. This makes it perform equally well in downwind, light-wind wingfoiling, parawing and advanced pump foiling.

The construction is made from prepreg Toray High Modulus Carbon fiber, providing very high stiffness, low mass and excellent energy transfer. The wing uses the A+ System, guaranteeing an exceptionally stiff connection with the mast and fuselage.

How to choose a size?

• 570-670 - experienced riders, stronger wind, fast wingfoiling and dynamic downwind.
• 770-870 - the most versatile sizes for downwind, parawing and efficient pump foiling.
• 970-1070 - light conditions, dock starts, long pump foil sessions and Foil Drive.
• 1270 - maximum lift, learning downwind, very light wind and the easiest starts for pump foiling.

Recommended stabilizers

Armstrong recommends pairing the UHA series with the Dart Stabilizer, which offers the best balance between efficiency, speed and turning ability. Riders who prefer more stability can also use stabilizers from the Flow series.
