The Severne Apex Mast is an advanced standard-diameter (SDM) construction, built for windsurfers looking for the ideal balance between competition-level performance and durability. Made from roughly 90% high-quality Toray Pre-Preg carbon, this mast is characterized by low weight and a fast response, which is key in racing and freerace sails. A unique feature of theApex model is an extra outer layer of fiberglass, which makes it significantly less susceptible to impacts and mechanical damage compared to typical racing masts. The specially designed profile (Apex taper) has a smaller diameter in the middle sections while increasing wall thickness, which further boosts the reliability of the whole construction.

Like other professionalSeverne masts, theApex model uses theSlipLock system - an alternating texture at the boom mounting point that increases friction and prevents the head from slipping. This means the windsurfer doesn't have to over-tighten the clamp (a force of just 10-15 kg is enough), which protects the mast from crushing and material fatigue. The mast also has an integrated ferrule providing smooth bend and the highest manufacturing precision (bend measurement accuracy of +7).
