TheSeverne Mega 2026 windsurfing board is a competition-level freerace model that combines slalom speed and performance with the easy handling and stability of a freeride board, providing control and acceleration in every condition.

Freerace means speed and comfort; the MEGA board takes these traits to a higher level, unlike other freerace boards.

SEVERNE designed the Mega board to break through the category's traditional limits. This board, developed in collaboration with Cedric Bordes, delivers competition-level performance through an accessible design philosophy.
Every element has been calibrated for explosive acceleration, maximum speed and the critical control needed while riding the thin line between winning and losing.

Sharper edges generate an explosion of power and instant reaction. A parallel outline with aggressive cutouts provides solid directional stability at maximum speed. Rear volume distribution provides fast acceleration and early planing. All elements work in full synergy.

Performance-focused riders feel the difference right away. A biaxial and unidirectional carbon fiber construction maximizes reactivity, and strategic double-density PVC reinforcement provides long-lasting performance with no extra weight.
The Mega's plug-and-play character lets you focus on racing, not on setting up gear.

    Yes. The SEVERNE race team will be using the Mega for national and international races around the world. It delivers genuine slalom-level performance.
     

  • How does the MEGA board differ from traditional freerace boards?
    Traditional freerace boards put comfort ahead of speed. The Mega board delivers both, thanks to smart engineering rather than compromises.

  • Do I need to be an experienced rider?
    No. And that's exactly the point. The Mega suits everyone, from recreational sailors to world champions.

  • Can the MEGA board be used as a foiling board?
    We don't recommend using the MEGA board as a foiling board. The SEVERNE ALIEN is best suited for freeride foiling, and the SEVERNE PREDATOR for high-level freeride and freestyle. The SEVERNE HYDRO, meanwhile, serves as a foiling race board.

  • What's the difference between the Mega and the Fox
