Starboard 2026 GEN R CARBON SANDWICH WITH COVER SUP Board
The new SUP Gen R is the latest stage in the evolution of race board design. It was developed in response to lessons learned from the most recent ICF World Championships and thanks to suggestions from racers at every skill level. The Gen R has been designed to deliver excellent performance in a variety of conditions while remaining friendly and easy to handle for every racer.
A VERSATILE DESIGN
Flat water, technical races, beach starts and open-ocean paddling in light to moderate swell are the ideal conditions for the new Gen R. A lighter, thinner construction provides more control and the ability to paddle in a range of race scenarios - from flat-water sprints to downwind runs on choppy water.
FAST AND RESPONSIVE
Inspired by the All Star model, the rounded tail profile gives the Gen R better glide, higher speeds and greater predictability while paddling in ocean conditions. The tail has been designed to respond dynamically to turns and provide excellent water release.
A THIN AND LIGHT CONSTRUCTION
The new Gen R is thinner than its predecessor and has less volume, making it lighter, faster and more agile - especially in crosswind conditions or during beach starts.
NEW RAILS
Rounded rails at the front of the board provide control and directional stability in crosswind, offering the ideal balance between maneuverability and stability.
AN EXTENDED STANDING AREA
The standing area on the new Gen R has been moved further forward, allowing for easy body-position adjustment and board trimming during sprints and downwind runs.
A NEW ROCKER LINE
A combination of the nose from the previous Gen R version with the All Star construction at the rear of the board. Provides excellent control in tough conditions while offering incredible acceleration on flat water.
A LOW STANDING AREA
The new Gen-R has a standing area lowered by 1.5 cm compared to its predecessor. This small reduction results in a lower center of gravity for the racer, which improves overall stability and control.
A NEW BUILT-IN EVA HANDLE
An EVA foam handle provides a soft, confident grip during beach starts or when carrying the board. This handle is especially useful during running beach starts.
A V-SHAPED NOSE
Designed to help drain water off the SUP and improve the board's behavior in chop and larger swell, as well as boost the "pop" effect in tough conditions.
DOUBLE TRAVEL PROTECTION
Every Gen R board comes with a premium bag and a stretch cover, providing two layers of protection and extra convenience while traveling, storing, or heading to frequent competitions.
