Starboard 2026 GEN R LITE TECH SUP Board

The new Gen R represents the latest stage in the evolution of race board design. Built in response to lessons learned from the most recent ICF World Championships and suggestions from paddlers at every skill level, the new Gen R has been designed to deliver excellent performance in a variety of conditions while remaining friendly to every competitor.

A THIN AND LIGHT CONSTRUCTION

The new Gen R is thinner than its predecessor and has less volume, making it lighter, faster and more agile - especially in crosswind conditions or during beach starts.

NEW RAILS

Rounded rails at the front of the board provide control and directional stability in crosswind, offering the ideal balance between maneuverability and stability.

AN EXTENDED STANDING AREA

The standing area on the new Gen R has been shifted further forward, making it easier to adjust body position during sprints and downwind runs.

A NEW ROCKER LINE

A combination of the nose from the previous Gen R model with a tail borrowed from the All Star model. Provides excellent control in tough conditions while offering incredible acceleration on flat water.

A LOWERED STANDING AREA

The new Gen-R has a standing area lowered by 1.5 cm compared to its predecessor. This small reduction results in a lower center of gravity for the surfer, which improves overall stability and control.

A NEW, BUILT-IN EVA FOAM HANDLE

A built-in handle made from 1 cm EVA foam provides a soft, comfortable grip during beach starts or when carrying the board. This handle is especially useful during running beach starts.

A V-SHAPED NOSE

Designed to help drain water off the deck and improve the board's behavior in waves and swell, as well as increase dynamics in tougher conditions.
