Our most successful 5-batten sail in history returns in a new form! Combining an innovative LIGHT DONE RIGHT construction with all the solutions we've developed over the past decade, the DUKE sets a new standard among sails focused on maximum wind range and ease of maneuvering.

The DUKE sail returned to the lineup in the SS23 collection, and for SS25 it underwent a construction and visual refresh. By combining the LIGHT DONE RIGHT construction with the latest innovations, the DUKE offers exceptional control across a wide range of wind conditions. The DUKE's development took 1.5 years, and the end user - you - was always the focus. During the design process we worked with real windsurfers and surf centers, building a wishlist that the new version of the sail had to meet.

The DUKE is the ideal choice for anyone looking for a 5-batten sail with high control and a wide wind range. We used the innovative BATTEN FREE CENTER, known from the SUPER_HERO model - a larger gap between the bottom batten and the one above the boom makes the lower part of the sail easier to tension, while the upper part stays stable thanks to a higher batten density.

Weight reduction isn't just a matter of comfort - it's also the result of the latest construction solutions. Thanks to the LIGHT DONE RIGHT CONSTRUCTION and ONE PIECE SLEEVE, we managed to reduce the sail's weight by 300 g without losing durability and without reducing panel thickness. This guarantees not only a super-light feel in your hands, but also a 5-year warranty.

The DUKE was designed with a high profile distribution and a deep shape, making early planing easier and speeding up the transition to full speed. Thanks to a forward-shifted draft point, the sail becomes neutral during turns and tricks. The result? Higher efficiency and greater control over every maneuver. A higher draft point increases lift and control during jumps, and the sail stays stable even in tough conditions.

The DUKE works well both for bump & jump on a freewave board and for freeride in medium wind. Its construction allows for both classic and modern freestyle tricks, as well as riding in medium waves and shifting wind.

DRAFT FORWARD
A forward-shifted draft point de-powers the sail and makes it completely neutral during maneuvers >> resulting in significantly higher effectiveness in tricks and turns.
BATTEN FREE CENTER
A larger gap between the bottom batten and the batten above the boom >> better sail tensioning (= more planing power) around the boom area and improved stability in the upper part of the sail.
LIGHT DONE RIGHT CONSTRUCTION
