Combining the maneuverability of a wave sail with the power of a freeride sail, the Naish Edge is a true hybrid, offering a high level of performance and versatility across a wide range of conditions. This sail takes the best of both worlds, making it a universal addition to any windsurfer's quiver.
The Edge is made from a durable X-Ply laminate, a Dacron panel at the mast and 188 monofilm, providing an excellent combination of durability and flexibility. This construction increases resistance to intensive use and tougher on-water conditions. The materials used and the way it's built create a remarkably solid sail, giving you confidence that your gear will last a long time.
One of the Edge's most important traits is its very good performance in the lower wind range. A well-optimized profile generates plenty of power in light wind, making early planing easier and providing smooth acceleration. This means it's easier to get going and keep your speed up even in lighter gusts.
A medium aspect ratio provides plenty of the power typical of freeride sails, while still keeping the smoothness and maneuverability known from wave sails. The result is very good handling, letting you carve turns and tacks with great ease, without losing performance during relaxed sailing.
