"POWER SIDE"
The deepest part of the profile is located on the leeward side. It's measured as depth (how "thick" the sail is) and position (how far forward or back it's shifted). It's the profile that generates the sail's power and lift.

The SALT PRO keeps its profile compact - it disappears in your hands the moment you drop onto a wave, thanks to a Dacron panel that acts in an on/off mode. It drives hard and precisely in the bottom turn, then instantly neutralizes as you hit the lip; its natural S-shaped curve makes cutbacks easy, powerful and forgiving.
Instant reaction is guaranteed by the X-Ply panel behind the Dacron luff, providing direct feedback to set the board exactly where you want it. The widest point of the Dacron and the deepest part of the profile sit right above the boom, creating perfect drive during the bottom turn and an explosive, forward-shifted pull through the rotation.

The overall aerodynamic shape of the sail as seen in cross-section. It includes the windward side (flatter) and the leeward side (more curved). When we talk about "sail profile", we mean the overall curve created by the panels and battens.
