Blade has defined the 5-batten wave sail category for almost two decades.

With the new GRADIENT PANEL TECHNOLOGY the improvements are obvious. Lighter weight and better stability.

The corners have overlapping panels, which reduces the number of battens. At the same time, these overlapping areas extend into the sail, allowing the sail to better transfer loads and stretch less over time. It's a more stable way to build sails.

Instead of one curved luff panel, the Blade uses separate panels that radiate from the top of the sail and the tack. This perfectly aligns the sail material with the direction of the load. Previously, a curved panel would tend to stretch in all the wrong places. Direct power transfer. Increased durability. Total control.

What's new in the 023 Blade?

The 023 Blade sails feature GRADIENT PANEL TECHNOLOGY, as well as high-quality materials such as VX2 and EM4.

What is the difference between Blade and Blade Pro?

The Blade Pro uses CarbonFusion technology and is constructed of carbon fiber laminates.
The Blade is less expensive than the Blade Pro.

Can I mount Blade on an SDM mast?

No, the Blade Pro is designed for RDM masts.

Should I use different length extensions for the Blade to work properly or can I just use the longest one?

You can always use a 36cm Cyclops on all Blade sizes. If you find that you are mainly using a 24cm extension and smaller, then it is a good idea to save some weight by switching to a 24cm extension. Other than weight, there is no significant performance improvement between the two extensions.

What is the difference between the Blade and the S-1?

The S1 is more maneuver-oriented, meaning it has more power in the backhand, which allows for more freedom in the bottom turn and easier rotation in maneuvers like the wave 360.

The Blade is more neutral, with more power in the front of the sail, which gives much more control both when riding and jumping.

Does the Blade change characteristics depending on size?

No, the Blade is a full-range wave sail.

Thanks to the new GRADIENT PANEL TECHNOLOGY. The corners have overlapping panels, which reduces the number of layers. At the same time, these overlapping areas extend into the sail, making the sail better at carrying loads and less stretchable over a longer period of time. This is a more stable way of constructing sails.

GRADIENT PANEL TECHNOLOGY logically reduces weight, increases strength and controls stretch. Overall weight is reduced, but the more significant improvement is the feel - it is more responsive and feels lighter.
