FOILGLIDE 3 _FREERIDE FOIL
The FoilGlide 3 is NOT just an ordinary freeride sail with 'Foil' written on it... It was designed specifically for foiling, with a focus on the following points:
LIGHT.
This is one of the most important traits.
We make light sails better than anyone else.
HIGH CENTRE OF LIFT.
Increases leverage for performance. Pumping ability has been improved.
STABILITY.
Better at keeping everything steady. Cambers keep a stable sail profile and minimize any movement.
SHORT ON THE BOOM.
Better control. A shorter boom length allows for an easy position adjustment.
Following the success of our racing foil sail, the HyperGlide, we created a user-friendly freeride version - the FoilGlide2. Sharing much of the same technology and philosophy,
these sails are the best for foiling.
The high-aspect construction is more stable, efficient and easy to control. The shorter boom is easy to control and puts the center of gravity directly above the sail. Combined with a tighter leech, leverage is increased, allowing you to foil with a smaller sail in lighter winds.
With just 5 battens and a lightweight construction, the weight of these sails is significantly lower than others. For foiling, this makes keeping the trim much easier and simply more enjoyable to use.
The FoilGlide is the choice for freeride foiling.

Frequently asked questions:
How many cambers does the FoilGlide 3 have?
The FoilGlide 3 is fitted with 3 cambers in all sizes.
All cambers are RDM.
What's the difference between the FoilGlide and HyperGlide sails?
The FoilGlide3 sail is a user-friendly freeride version of the successful HyperGlide series. The sails share the same technology and philosophy; all are optimized for top performance on a foil.
The FoilGlide3 is designed for freeride, not racing. The FoilGlide3 is significantly lighter and easier to handle.
What's the difference between the FoilGlide 3 and the Turbo?
The FoilGlide3 was designed specifically for foiling. The FoilGlide3 is lighter.
Can I use the FoilGlide3 on a fin?
Of course, the FoilGlide3 can be used as a regular windsurfing sail on a fin, but it's optimized as a freeride foil sail. We recommend using the FoilGlide3 for foiling.
Can I use an SDM mast instead of an RDM mast? What happens if I do?
The FoilGlide3 was designed for RDM masts. However, it can also be used on SDM masts by swapping the cambers from RDM to SDM.
What happens if I downhaul the sail more than recommended?
Pulling the sail down too hard on the mast can open up the top part of the sail, causing it to shift during flight. This can make the sail less stable.
Follow the recommended settings to get the best setup.
How durable is the sail?
All SEVERNE sails are precisely manufactured using high-quality materials, ensuring an ideal balance between durability and weight.
Can I use masts other than Severne in my sails?
All our design work, testing and tuning is done using SEVERNE masts.
We strongly recommend our customers use SEVERNE masts. Our masts are designed with a specific SEVERNE bend curve, which remains one of the pillars of our sails.
We don't test the performance or bend curves of other masts, and therefore cannot guarantee what performance or lifespan you'll get from a sail when using a mast from another brand.
We describe our mast's curve as the SEVERNE curve. Constant, hardtop or flex-top curves described by mast brands are based on measurements at 3 points.
We measure our masts at a minimum of 7 points.
