_CONTROL ORIENTED WAVE.

Description:
The Blade has defined the 5-batten wave sail category for over 20 years. The 025 Edition continues to refine and refine this proven model.
Providing reliable performance across the widest possible wind range, the Blade offers the perfect blend of power and control.
The excellence of the Blade is evident in its design. Using advanced materials, it outweighs 4-batten wave sails in weight while providing a confidence boost for everything from triple front loop attempts to onshore wave riding.
The 025 Blade features XFusion technology. By ultrasonically welding the panels, we have eliminated the need for seams. The result? A lighter, more responsive sail with improved durability. This revolutionary technique is a direct evolution of the CarbonFusion technology used in our PRO models, now available to a wider range of riders.
Both the Blade and BladePro have been developed on an identical platform. The PRO design offers the best performance, while the Blade replicates dynamic efficiency in a more accessible design.
SEVERNE's patented GRADIENT PANEL TECHNOLOGY is at the heart of both the Blade and BladePro. This innovative approach logically reduces weight, increases strength and controls stretch. The result is direct power transfer and increased durability.
Full control. The Blade is a control-oriented wave sail for all conditions.

Questions for us:
What's new in the 025 Blade?
The 025 Blade sails use GRADIENT PANEL TECHNOLOGY, as well as high-end materials such as VX2 and EM4.
What is the difference between the Blade and the Blade Pro?
The key difference between the Blade and the Blade Pro is the material, as well as the construction.
BLADE PRO uses Carbon Fusion
BLADE PRO uses a carbon fiber laminate from the top to the tack.
BLADE PRO is more reactive
BLADE PRO has a better strength to weight ratio
Can I rig the Blade on an SDM mast?
No, the Blade is designed for RDM masts.
What is the difference between the Blade and the S-1?
The S1 is more maneuverable, meaning it has more power at the back, allowing for quicker course changes downrange.
The Blade is more neutral with more power in the front of the sail, giving you more control both when riding and jumping.
The BLADE has 5 battens
The BLADE is more control oriented.
The BLADE is more stable.
The BLADE is fully X-PLY, the S-1 has a monofilm window.
What is the difference between the Blade and the Gator?
The Blade/Blade Pro is designed for wave riding, while the Gator is a crossover sail designed for freewave/freeride riding.
Blade/Blade Pro is specially designed for windsurfers who spend most of their time in the waves. A neutral sail that helps improve riding and jumping.
The Gator will be the best choice for bump and jump riders who occasionally ride waves. Offering a softer, easier handling, the Gator will get you on the plane earlier than anyone else.
The Gator is freewave/freeride oriented.
The Gator planes earlier.
The Gator has five battens up to 7.0 and six battens from 7.5 upwards.
The BLADE is more wave oriented.
The BLADE is more stable.
The BLADE is more agile.
The BLADE is less freemove/freeride oriented
Does the Blade change the characteristics depending on size?
No, the Blade is a full-range wave sail. There are different needs depending on the sail size, but in general the feel is the same across the board, making it easy to change sizes.
Can I use other masts than Severne in my sails?
All of our development, testing, rigging and tuning is done using SEVERNE masts.
We highly recommend that our customers use SEVERNE masts.
Our masts are designed with the specific SEVERNE bend curve, which remains one of the pillars of our rigging.
We do not test the performance or bend curves of other masts and therefore cannot guarantee the performance or durability that can be obtained from a sail using another brand of mast. We describe our mast curve as the SEVERNE curve.
Fixed, hardtop or flex top curves described by mast brands are based on measurements at 3 points.
