Does Mach 8 have new sizes?
Yes! The new Mach 8 is now also available in a 5.0 size, providing excellent performance in very strong winds.

Which Mach 8 sizes fit RDM masts?
The Mach 8 5.0 and 5.5 models are compatible with RDM masts.
Sizes 6.5 and up require SDM masts.


What is the difference between the Mach 8 and the Hyper 8?
Mach 8 – a dedicated slalom sail that is compatible with foils.
Hyper 8 – a specialist slalom sail designed exclusively for foils.


Which mast should I choose for best performance?
The recommended masts for the Mach 8 sail are Apex and Apex Pro.
For the Mach 8 5.0 and 5.5 sizes, the RDM Red mast is the best choice.

Can I use another brand of mast?
All of our development, testing, rigging and tuning is done using Severne masts. We do not test the performance or bending curves of other brands of masts, so we cannot guarantee the performance and durability you will get from using another brand of mast. For this reason, we strongly recommend our customers to use SEVERNE masts.

What is the difference between Mach and Moto?
MOTO has 2 cams,
MOTO is lighter,
MACH 8 has 4 cams,
MOTO is freeride oriented with the same stability and top speeds as a slalom sail,
MACH 8 is a dedicated slalom sail.

What can I do if cams not rotating properly?
Make sure you are using the correct mast and camber combination, SDM cambers (black) with SDM masts and RDM cambers (red) with RDM masts.
Make sure the sail has sufficient tension in the foot and foot..
