Severne Hyperlite 2026 Windsurfing Sail
4.4 - 5.5 - 6.6 - 7.7
Severne Hyperlite 2026 is a superlight foil-freerace sail that combines maneuverability and easy handling with stability and high speed, ideal for long sessions and fast foiling.
Windsurfing - Freeride / Freerace
Product description:
The HyperLite combines the traits of the Hyper and FoilGlide models - it has the light, narrow luff tube and easy handling of the FoilGlide, while also having the shape and performance of the Hyper.
More freerace-oriented than the FoilGlide, the HyperLite is a faster sail, perfectly matched to the Alien and Hydro boards.
Significantly lighter than the Hyper, it offers exceptional handling - you can sail for hours.
True to Severne's philosophy, everything has been simplified. The Xtended range significantly reduces the need for multiple sails - the HyperLite is available in just four sizes.
The HyperLite will define the foil freerace category. Sail fast for hours on end, explore, and feel the freedom.
- A simplified size range
- Xtended Range - an extended range of use
- A profile (construction) from the Hyper model
- 3 Cambers
- Suitable for the Alien and Hydro boards
Type: Freeride / Freerace

WHAT'S THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE HYPERLITE AND THE HYPER?
- the HyperLite is lighter
- the HyperLite offers easier handling
- the HyperLite has a narrower luff sleeve
- the HyperLite is more accessible for recreational foilers
- the HyperLite uses the luff sleeve construction from the FoilGlide model. - HOW MANY CAMBERS DOES THE HYPERLITE HAVE?
- the HyperLite has 3 cambers in all sizes.
- All cambers come as standard in RDM.
- They can be swapped for SDM, but these need to be ordered separately. - CAN I USE THE HYPERLITE TO LEARN FOILING?
Yes, but the R4D model may be more suitable for complete beginners. The HyperLite was designed for riders who want to progress toward higher speeds. - WHAT LENGTH BOOM DOES THE HYPERLITE NEED?
All HyperLite sizes are tacked on a single boom: 170-220. This simplifies rigging and reduces the complexity of the whole setup. - CAN I USE THE HYPERLITE ON A FIN-EQUIPPED BOARD?
The HyperLite was designed specifically for foiling.
For fin sailing, Severne recommends using dedicated freeride sails such as the Moto or the NCX. - HOW DOES THE XTENDED RANGE TECHNOLOGY WORK ON THE HYPERLITE?
Xtended Range technology allows for bigger gaps between the sizes in your quiver.
Each sail covers a wider wind range - both at the low and high end - thanks to deeper profiles held in place by increased material tension.
