North Mode Pro 2027 - high performance, speed and maximum control
The North Mode Pro 2027 is a high-performance wing designed for riders who expect high speed, strong pull, dynamic pop and full control in strong wind. It's a model created primarily for fast freeride, freestyle and dynamic riding, where a direct response and efficient use of wind energy matter.
The 2027 version uses a stiff N-Weave45 Airframe construction, an advanced Matrix Canopy material and UDi Carbon reinforcement running along the entire leading edge. Combined with a stiffened LE and an XL T-Joint connection, this results in an even more direct power transfer and a faster wing response.
Characteristics
The Mode Pro was designed for riders who want to accelerate quickly and maintain high speed even in demanding conditions. The stiff N-Weave45 frame limits construction deformation under load, so the wing effectively transfers wind energy into forward motion.
In 2027, North refined, among other things, the strut shape, the panel layout and the wingtip seam technology, and also increased the stiffness of the XL T-Joint connection. As a result, the Mode Pro offers an even more direct response and a stable profile at high speeds.
The use of UDi Carbon along the entire leading edge further reduces construction flex. The wing returns to its proper shape faster after a change in load, which improves its reactivity during acceleration, jumps and dynamic maneuvers.
The True Form profile
The refined True Form profile has been optimized for fast acceleration and maintaining high speed. Thinner profile sections and appropriately shaped geometry help reduce aerodynamic drag.
A slightly flattened dihedral increases forward pull, improves lift and stability as apparent speed increases. As a result, the wing becomes increasingly stable as it accelerates.
ShiftLock - full configuration freedom
The Mode Pro uses the ShiftLock Modular Handle Mounting system, which lets you slide and lock handles at any point along the strut.
The wing is compatible with:
- the ShiftLock Carbon Handle 500
- the ShiftLock Carbon Handle 400
- the ShiftLock Carbon Handle 250
- the ShiftLock J-Handle 400
- the ShiftLock Boom 950
- the ShiftLock Boom 1100
The handles and boom are not part of the standard wing set and need to be purchased separately.
This solution lets you match hand position to the rider's height, arm length and preferred riding style. You can also change the wing's configuration without having to buy another model.
An ergonomic strut
One of the significant changes in the 2027 version is Ergonomic Strut Geometry. The segmented strut construction lets you position your hands in a more natural way, reducing strain on the forearms and elbows during long sessions.
Combined with the carbon ShiftLock handles, this gives a very direct feel for the wing and lets you react quickly to changes in direction and position relative to the foil.

Available sizes
The North Mode Pro 2027 is available in five sizes:
| Size | Wingspan | Recommended wind range |
| 3.5 m2 | 262 cm | 18-36 kt |
| 4.2 m2 | 283 cm | 16-33 kt |
| 4.8 m2 | 305 cm | 13-31 kt |
| 5.5 m2 | 315 cm | 9-24 kt |
| 6.5 m2 | 326 cm | 7-21 kt |
The size, wingspan and wind range data come directly from North's specifications for the Mode Pro 2027.
Which size should you choose?
3.5 m2 - for very strong wind, fast riding and high-energy sessions.
4.2 m2 - a great choice for strong wind, freestyle and dynamic freeride.
4.8 m2 - a versatile size for riders who want to combine speed with a wide range of use.
5.5 m2 - a good choice for moderate wind and fast freeride.
6.5 m2 - the largest Mode Pro, designed for lighter wind, especially for heavier riders.
Who is it for?
The North Mode Pro 2027 is designed primarily for:
- advanced wingfoilers,
- speed-focused riders,
- people riding freestyle,
- riders who enjoy high jumps and a lot of hangtime,
- people riding in strong and gusty wind,
- riders expecting a maximally direct wing response.
This is not a model focused primarily on ease of learning. Its biggest advantages show themselves when the rider is able to make use of the construction's stiffness, high speed and high reactivity.
The Hyperflow Dual-Inflation system
The Mode Pro uses the Connected Hyperflow Dual-Inflation system, in which the leading edge valve and the strut valve are connected by a hose with a clip. This lets you control the pressure in the LE and the strut independently, while also allowing fast pumping and deflating from a single point.
Materials
- N-Weave45 Airframe - a stiff, light material with high tensile strength
- Matrix Canopy - a material with high stretch resistance, providing stable shape retention
- UDi Carbon - carbon reinforcement along the entire leading edge
This combination lets the wing maintain its profile under heavy load and reduces energy losses caused by construction flex.
Included in the set
- the North Mode Pro 2027 wing
- a wrist leash
- a T40 Torx tool
- a wing bag
- a compression strap
- a repair kit
- a sandbag
The ShiftLock Carbon handles and boom are sold separately.
North Mode Pro 2027 - built for fast riding
The North Mode Pro 2027 is a wing for riders who want to push the limits of performance. The stiff N-Weave45 construction, the Matrix Canopy, the carbon UDi reinforcement and the refined profile provide a very direct power transfer, fast acceleration and stability at high speed.
It's a sporty, reactive wing for fast freeride, freestyle and strong wind, which lets you make full use of a modern foil's capabilities.
