The North 2027 Navigator Pro Short Throw combines all the key technologies from the Navigator Pro model with a construction tailored to the specific needs of smaller riders. The shortened bar throw makes it easier to reach the depower handle when the kite is fully let out, improving ergonomics and control when riding in strong wind.

Compared to the standard Navigator Pro, the Short Throw version has a shortened depower system travel, so the bar reacts faster to trim changes and lets you keep a comfortable hand position. North recommends using this solution with kites sized 12m and smaller, to keep an appropriate power-adjustment range in demanding conditions.

The bar is equipped with a new, even stronger and lighter construction. An internal core made of fiber-reinforced polymer increases the construction's stiffness and durability by as much as 20%, while reducing weight. A lighter bar means less inertia during rotations, a faster response and an even more direct connection to the kite.

One of the most important features of the Navigator Pro Short Throw is the Auto-Unwind automatic front-line-untwisting system. The depower line and the safety line run inside durable TPU sleeves, ensuring smooth system operation and letting you easily untwist the bar with one hand after rotations and kite loops.

Precise steering comes from the top-quality Liros Dyneema SK99 Pro Lines. Ultra-low stretch and minimal aerodynamic drag provide an instant kite response and very direct bar feedback. The 1.55mm front lines and 1.3mm rear lines were chosen to limit uneven line stretch and keep an ideal system balance for a long time.

The new Connect V2 Quick Release means an even higher level of safety. The system was designed to limit the risk of accidental release or triggering of the mechanism, while offering a quick and intuitive re-arming. The bar works with all Connect V2 loops, so you can easily tailor the configuration to your riding style.
