North 2027 Astra is a light and exceptionally responsive Big Air / Freeride board built specifically for lighter riders. Smaller proportions, a narrower stance and a carefully tuned flex give greater control, comfort and soft landings without sacrificing sporty character. The Astra makes it easier to use the kite's power, planes quickly upwind and offers confident grip during high jumps.

North 2027 Astra was designed from the ground up for riders with a lower body weight and smaller build. Carefully chosen lengths, widths and a narrower stance make it much easier to keep control of the board when edging, turning and landing. The binding spacing is 20mm narrower than on the Atmos, giving lighter riders a more natural foot position.

The board's character comes from its Biaxial Hybrid Carbon construction, combining e-glass fiber with 3DY Carbon reinforcements. This layup lets the flex be precisely tuned to a lighter rider's weight, providing the right amount of spring, low weight and dynamic energy release on pop.

The Astra was designed to be easy to ride upwind and stay stable during hard edging. A balanced combination of rocker, outline and flex gives fast, direct response, and Quad Channel Tips improve water flow toward the fins, increasing tracking and control.

The bottom transitions from Double Concave into a Deep-V Centre Spine, which disperses water on landing and effectively dampens impact. Additional channels near the edges increase control and let you confidently load the board before pop. This gives the Astra soft, predictable landings and clean, strong pop.

A medium-high curved outline provides precise carving and optimal edge hold, and a medium rocker with pulled-in tips lets you plane quickly and stay versatile across different conditions.

Another benefit is the long, deeply integrated Grab Rail, which makes for a confident grip during board-offs.
