Restube Beach Inflatable Safety Buoy

The Restube beach inflatable buoy is designed for an adult in a swimsuit or wetsuit for use in calm water (small waves). While swimming, the Restube beach buoy is placed in a small bag attached to the belt. If necessary, simply pull the trigger protruding from the bag and the buoy will inflate itself in a fraction of a second. The inflatable buoy is reusable. After use, simply replace the cartridge and put the buoy back in the bag, ready for action again.

The Restube BEACH buoy was designed in cooperation with professional lifeguards. Its buoyancy is sufficient to provide security in calm water for a person in a swimsuit or wetsuit, so it is an ideal SUP buoy. The high-quality material from which it was made is also used for the production of life jackets, which is why it ensures a long service life of the buoys. A functional solution is the integrated CO2 cartridge, which, after pulling the pin, inflates the buoy in one second, making it easier to keep your head above the water surface. The cartridge is replaced with a new one after use. The buoy can also be filled by blowing air through the mouth through the drain-inlet valve. The yellow color of the buoy makes you perfectly visible from a distance. The compact dimensions do not restrict movement.

Original RESTUBE CO2 cartridges contain 16g of CO2 under pressure and are considered hazardous materials in air transport.

However, according to IATA, up to 4 CO2 cartridges can be carried on board the aircraft.

Ultimately, it is the airline and the pilot who make the final decision whether such cartridges may be carried on board the aircraft. If the cartridge is not installed, there are no special transport requirements or restrictions for RESTUBE.

According to IATA/LBA, up to 4 x 16g CO2 cartridges may be carried on board the aircraft:

• in hand luggage
• in checked luggage
• for the traveler

Although these are official regulations, not all ground personnel are aware of them. To avoid any potential problems, we have prepared this instruction for those bringing RESTUBE cartridges on board an aircraft. Please follow our recommendations and you will avoid any potential problems.

1. Report to the airline before departure
   Report RESTUBE and the number of CO2 cartridges to the airline (by phone). You should do this immediately after booking or at least 48 hours before departure. Ask the airline to confirm your registration (by email/in writing), and take it with you.
   
   
2. Carry RESTUBE and CO2 cartridges separately
   Carry the flap of the bag carefully and remove the buoy. Unscrew the CO2 cartridge from the RESTUBE mechanism.
   
   
3. Keep the CO2 cartridges with this information in a separate bag.
