Thanks to the design collaboration between Damien Girardin and Ralf Groesel, the SUPERMODEL 2025 underwent significant changes in shape, line system and construction technology to deliver the best performance in the all-round kite segment. It's easier and more intuitive to fly than ever before, thanks to lighter bar pressure and a faster response. The lighter feel makes the kite easier to control in strong wind, opening up new possibilities for jumping. The new pulley-free line system has been fine-tuned to boost you even higher, providing effortless hangtime while also allowing more effective depower across the entire range, giving you greater control. New trailing-edge reinforcements reduce drag through turns, and the combination of weight savings and HTF3 technology means the SUPERMODEL 2025 loops significantly faster. The power and grip are so smooth and predictable that both loop beginners and advanced riders performing technical kiteloop variations will feel more confident and motivated to push their skills further.

Damien Girardin on the SUPERMODEL HTF 2025

For people who don't know the SUPERMODEL yet, how would you describe this kite?

The SUPERMODEL is designed to become an extension of your body. No matter what board you're riding, what conditions you're in, or what skill level you have, THE SUPERMODEL HANDLES EVERYTHING. We tested it in literally every possible condition and discipline over many years, refining it to the point where it became so versatile and intuitive that it works for everyone.

So how could it be improved even further?

The biggest change this year is that I started collaborating with Ralf on the HYPERMODEL. Last year I thought the kite had already reached its maximum level, but the capabilities we developed together on the HYPER were successfully implemented into this year's SUPERMODEL, significantly boosting its performance and ease of use.

What will be most noticeable in these changes?

One of the things people will notice right away is that the kite has become much smoother, more comfortable, and therefore easier to handle. Increased depower on the bar stroke makes it easier to control, and also allows you to better hold an edge right before a jump, elevating the whole riding experience.

What's the main reason behind these changes?

One of the key reasons is the switch to a pulley-free line system (a fixed line system). We changed the entire line geometry and moved the attachment point, which helps the kite pick up speed faster. Another factor is the addition of fiberglass-reinforced ribs in the trailing edge. This reduces flutter and greatly improves the smoothness of turns, which means the catch after a kiteloop is now much better than before.

Great! What other changes were made?

We also increased the amount of FLEXLITE material in the leading edge, which became possible thanks to the updated line system. Now the lines hold the kite's shape better, allowing FLEXLITE material to be placed in a higher segment, providing more turning power and better kite steering. This makes the SUPERMODEL 2025 more solid and more responsive to bar movements.

The SUPERMODEL 2025 also seems lighter on the bar, right?

Yes, that's true. Several factors contribute to this. One is that the fixed line system gives the kite a lighter, more direct feel. We also moved the pigtail connections back by 2 cm, which increases leverage during steering. Less pressure on the bar also contributes to a smoother riding feel.

Dreamstick X - The next level in perfection

Our pursuit of perfection didn't end with the design of the DreamStick. Continuous development led us to design the new DreamStick X2.5, creating what we believe is the best kite control system in history. The DreamStick X2.5 features our new monobloc depower, built with dual chambers - for pulling in and releasing depower - providing the best possible auto-swivel solution while still allowing freedom of movement and simultaneous steering and depower. Intensively tested for over a year across multiple continents and in various weather conditions, the new Monobloc depower proves to be exceptionally durable. Our standard Dreamstick X2.5 is perfectly tuned to all our SuperModels and makes the best use of its depower range. However, we found that a select group of riders with shorter arms may have trouble reaching the bar. That's exactly why we created the short depower Dreamstick X2.5. The depower length has been reduced from 50 cm to 42 cm.

It also ensures the safety line slides smoothly to the quick-release. Intensively tested for over a year across multiple continents and in various weather conditions, the new Monobloc depower proves to be exceptionally durable.

• Foldable SK99 lines
  
  Our unique construction allows the lines to be folded in half to reduce their length, down to 12m, while fully retaining the safety-release line's functionality. This feature lets you choose a line length between 24m, 22m, 13m, 12m and 11m

• Streamlined Y-stopper
  A very lightweight loop-to-loop connection on the flying lines prevents the bar from sliding too far away after a release.

• Click-In quick-release, like a seatbelt buckle
  A simple click-in latch, with minimal moving parts made only from proven, lightweight components, for a fast release you can trust over time. Our system was designed to be as light as possible thanks to the main load passing directly through the CNC-machined core, ensuring excellent load resistance. We believe brilliant design is the art of creating simple and functional parts. Our chicken loop is the essence of this philosophy. Simpler means more reliable for you

• Thin bar
  A thinner-diameter bar means a better grip. Once you try it, you'll never want to ride a thicker bar again. Our grip features an ergonomic offset that not only provides better control but also makes you immediately feel it if you accidentally grab the bar the wrong way.

• Adjustable bar width
  The bar-width adjustment system lets you quickly switch between 43 and 49cm. It's deliberately designed to be as light as possible, so the bar has minimal inertia while spinning. Once you pull out the adjuster, you also get access to the bar's trim knots.

• SK99 flying lines

Our new flying lines use top-quality Dyneema® SK99, which is 20% stronger and 30% more abrasion-resistant than standard Dyneema. Combined with our unique plasticizing technique, this delivers flying lines that are virtually non-stretch. With closed, seamless braids, they're also even stronger and easy to untangle.

Thinner lines create significantly less drag, resulting in narrower kite loops and a much more direct steering response
