Integrated DSC (Digital Selective Dialing) transmitter
The world's smallest (at the time of release) AIS MOB transponder with integrated DSC is compatible with even the smallest life jackets.
MOB1 is designed for installation on life jackets and will be activated automatically when the life jacket is inflated. The first alert will be sent 15 seconds after activation.
The integrated strong strobe light ensures better visibility of the device in conditions of limited visibility (e.g. at night or in fog).
The MOB1 device communicates with the ship that the person who fell into the water is off, as well as with other vessels that are within a radius of up to 8 km from the MOB1 transmitter (this distance depends on the conditions at the time). For additional alerts to the emergency services, you can use another product, the rescueME PLB1 personal beacon, which communicates with the services via a dedicated satellite network.
In the event of an emergency, the rescueME MOB1 provides 2 methods to quickly communicate the position of a person who has fallen overboard, to within a few meters, back to the ship, plus it visually marks the position with a strong strobe light.
If you fall overboard, the best chance for a quick rescue is help from your own ship. Your crew must be notified immediately of the incident and be kept up to date with your position during the rescue operation. Even in the most moderate sea conditions, the most worrying thing is that visual contact with the man overboard can be quickly lost.
Once activated, MOB1 will begin broadcasting an alarm to all AIS receivers, as well as all AIS-enabled multifunction displays and other plotters in the vicinity of the incident. Integrated GPS provides peace of mind that precise location data will be transmitted to your vessel and to others that may assist in providing assistance.
An additional feature of the MOB1 transponder is the ability to activate a DSC alarm on your vessel's radio. It will notify the crew of the situation.

The MOB1 transponder is compatible with most modern AIS plotters and VHF radios that meet the standards required to receive MOB transmissions. It is strongly recommended to check the compatibility of the devices used with the MOB1 transponder in advance, especially if the devices used are of an older generation.
