When practicing water sports, kayaking on a boat or SUP board, a life buoy is a guarantee of safety. Some countries require that safety features meet certain standards.

RESTUBE meets these requirements, which is why we have created the world's smallest CE-certified swim buoy.

Restube PFD provides an immediate buoyancy of 75 N (7.5 kg), 50% more than required by CE certification and DIN EN ISO 12402-5, enough to keep an adult afloat and waiting for help.

Air Information

Original RESTUBE CO2 cartridges contain 16g of CO2 under pressure and are considered hazardous materials in air transport.

However, according to IATA, up to 4 CO2 cartridges can be carried on board the aircraft.

Ultimately, it is the airline and the pilot who make the final decision as to whether such cartridges can be carried on board the plane. If the cartridge is not installed, there are no special transport requirements or restrictions for RESTUBE.

According to IATA/LBA, up to 4 x 16g CO2 cartridges may be carried on board an aircraft:

• in hand luggage
• in checked luggage
• for the traveler

Although these are official regulations, not all ground personnel are aware of them. To avoid any potential problems, we have prepared this instruction for those bringing RESTUBE cartridges on board an aircraft. Please follow our recommendations and you will avoid any potential problems.

1. Report to the airline before departure
   Report RESTUBE and the number of CO2 cartridges to the airline (by phone). You should do this immediately after booking or at least 48 hours before departure. Ask the airline to confirm your registration (by email/in writing), and take it with you.
   
   
2. Carry RESTUBE and CO2 cartridges separately
   Carry the flap of the bag carefully and remove the buoy. Unscrew the CO2 cartridge from the RESTUBE mechanism.
   
   
3. Keep the CO2 cartridges with this information in a separate bag.
