You want it all: maximum wind range with instant acceleration, total neutrality when ducking without nervousness, maximum pop, ultralight construction without compromising durability. Sounds like a dream? Possibly, but that's exactly what we got from Adrien Bosson, the 2022 Freestyle World Champion, when designing the new IDOL LTD.

IDOL LTD - The biggest update since 2014! The new generation of IDOL LTD took almost two years to develop. The result? The biggest update since its launch in 2014!

Ultralight construction without sacrificing strength!
By simplifying the panel layout and using lighter, single-layer high-tech reinforcements instead of multi-layers, we managed to reduce the sail's weight by another 200 g. The new IDOL LTD is now one of the lightest freestyle sails on the market!

However, in line with our LIGHT DONE RIGHT philosophy, reducing weight does not mean less durability. We have not reduced the thickness of the foil, and additionally we have used almost indestructible epoxy wave battens that can withstand even the strongest impacts.

BATTEN FREE CENTER – a new concept for maximum efficiency
Instead of the traditional, symmetrical batten arrangement, the IDOL LTD has a larger space between the lower batten and the batten above the boom. The lack of an additional batten in this area means that the sail fills with wind much more smoothly, which translates into better performance:

Wider wind range – faster planing, immediate acceleration and better control even on rough water.
Easier ducking – the sail becomes neutral during the maneuver, but after rotation it loads more smoothly than in other freestyle sails.
More lift in the air – ideal profile filling provides additional power for jumps and maneuvers.
Better stability – the sail remains taut, providing full control while sailing.
Less load – optimal power release makes the IDOL LTD seem even lighter.

Key Features:

Convex dacron luff panel
provides maximum flexibility without deformation from the battens, which translates into greater lift when jumping under the sail.
Batten free center
thanks to the larger gap between the lower batten and the batten above the boom, it increases the wind range, provides more lift in the air and improves balance and power when ducking.
Light done righ construction
reduces weight by 200-300 g without reducing the thickness of the main panel, so that durability and strength remain at the highest level.
Hollow lower leech
with a unique profiling stabilizes the profile above boom and prevents the leech from fluttering, which improves sail control.
