After the incredible success of the Foil S2 it was not easy to design a foil sail that would perform better in all aspects, not just be different. Thanks to the intensive joint efforts of our entire R&D team and sail designer Patrik Diethelm we managed to successfully complete this truly difficult mission and far exceed our own expectations. Based on the revolutionary Foil S2 concept, the new RACE HA outperforms anything we have ever seen in foil racing. "HA" stands for "high aspect", and an even more extreme high aspect design was the key to even greater efficiency, more control and higher top speed. The redesigned lower section of the profile provides excellent stability of the sail in flight. The pressure on the rear section has been further reduced to provide a more neutral sail in gusts, while the lower section of the sail has been improved. As sail sizes get smaller, we are carefully shifting the design focus from pure course racing in the large sizes to slalom, speed slalom and long distance in the smallest sizes. The following improvements have been made to create a sail that is even better to control, has a wider wind range, improved low-end AND extended high-end. We are extremely proud and happy to present a new sail that beats its predecessor in all aspects and is a real beauty:

• Higher aspect ratio (longer luff, same boom length)

• Steeper batten angle provides better release and more control.
  
  
• Wider pocket on top provides more power and better aerodynamics
  
  
• Lighter construction for improved jibing and easier handling
  
  
• 3 upper batten tensioners placed more forward to reduce swing weight.
  
  
• New graphics with improved field of vision for the rider.

Construction:

The sail construction has been carefully optimized to reduce weight where it matters most, without compromising the stiffness of the sail construction that provides the incredible power and control that our racing sails have.
The three top batten tensioners have been moved forward to reduce weight on the leech and allow the top of the sail to respond more freely.

The reinforcements have been optimized and new materials have been selected to provide an ideal strength-to-weight ratio. Our sails will last many races and sessions without wearing out, stretching or becoming unsailable after just a few months,
like some competitors' ultralight sails. PATRIK is a solid, high-quality sail, designed with Swiss precision and thoroughly tested by our R&D team.
