Description:

We've improved the Race+, the world champion and world record holder. Initially it seemed like an impossible mission to improve on this fast
slalom sail that our team riders love so much. After carefully refining many aspects of the sail we are absolutely thrilled to present the new RACE LA for the 2024 season. "LA" stands for "low aspect ratio". This sail is a pure fin and an incredible powerhouse. It slams like nothing else in the slalom and is a weapon of choice for speedsailing and GPS speed competitions. The deep profile and longer boom provide power at all times, while the new release characteristics have further improved control in strong winds compared to the Race+, which has gained a reputation on speed courses around the world.

More raked battens provide better twist, more stability and more control.
Slightly wider panels at boom height to compensate for the loss of power due to steeper battens.

3 top batten tensioners positioned at the front to reduce swing weight
New graphics with improved field of vision for the rider

Construction:

The sail construction has been carefully optimized to reduce weight where it matters most, without compromising the stiffness of the sail structure, which provides the incredible power and control that our racing sails have.
The three top batten tensioners have been moved forward to reduce weight on the leech and allow the top of the sail to respond more freely.

Reinforcements have been optimized and new materials have been selected to provide an ideal strength-to-weight ratio. Our sails will withstand many races and sessions without wearing out, stretching or becoming unsailable after just a few months, like some competitors' ultralight sails. PATRIK is a solid, high-quality sail, designed with Swiss precision and thoroughly tested by our R&D team.
