Dedicated to freestyle. The Freek has been designed to provide maximum lift, stability and easy ducking. 5 battens provide greater stability and wind range,
and thanks to our advanced material technology it weighs less than most 4 batten sails.

The dynamic relationship between the luff curve and the shape of the seams means that the Freek fills with wind much faster, which results in increased power and more effective pop,
while remaining stable, which ensures reliable handling. Greater monofilm tension increases stability and wind range.

A higher center of lift increases possibilities. The resulting pop is at a completely new level.
The Freek has a visible difference between a neutral state and a full wind state, so you will get into planing in the blink of an eye. It's dynamic.

What is the difference between Freek and FoilFreek?

Both sails perform well in light winds, but FoilFreek will generate more power due to its profile and therefore slightly earlier planing/flight. Freek, however, provides a wide wind range both at the upper and lower ends.

If you sail mainly foils, FoilFreek is the perfect sail. If you are into freestyle fins, the Freek is the sail for you.

What is the difference between the Freek and the Blade?

The Freek is a true freestyle sail with all the features that go with it; including a wider mast pocket for instant power, depower and a tighter leech.

The blade is wave-oriented, locking the power in one place, making it more neutral both when jumping and riding.


Why does the Freek have 5 battens?

Can I use masts other than Severne in my sails?

All of our design, testing and tuning is done using Severne masts. We do not test the performance or flex curves of other masts and cannot guarantee what performance or durability you will get from a sail using another brand of mast. We therefore strongly recommend our customers to use SEVERNE masts.

GRADIENT PANEL TECHNOLOGY

With the new GRADIENT PANEL TECHNOLOGY the improvements are obvious. Less weight and better stability.

Thanks to the new GRADIENT PANEL TECHNOLOGY. The corners have overlapping panels, which reduces the number of layers. At the same time, these overlapping areas extend into the sail, making the sail better at carrying loads, less stretchable over a longer period of time. This is a more stable way of constructing sails.

GRADIENT PANEL TECHNOLOGY logically reduces weight, increases strength and controls stretching. Overall weight is reduced, but the more significant improvement is the feel - it's more responsive and feels lighter.

Instead of one curved luff, we use separate panels - the split luff - that radiate from the head and clew. This perfectly aligns the sail material with its load directions.

Previously, a curved panel would tend to stretch in all the wrong places. Direct power transfer. Increased durability.
