Hydro _Foil Race
HYDRO _FOIL RACEis a board designed using innovative technology and computer modeling for excellent performance in all regatta disciplines.
The Hydro 100 is a machine for sailing upwind and downwind, with a very wide stern, a center profile, inserts for the center foodstrap and a reinforced VMG shape
for sails from 8.0 to 11.0.
The Hydro 91, 85 and 79 are foil slalom boats, designed for downwind courses and high speeds and for sails from 5.0 to 10.0.
The profile and shape focus on minimizing hydrodynamic drag, maximizing aerodynamic performance.
The deep cockpit is a game-changer, providing excellent control in the gybs, tacks and balance when sailing at full throttle.
Volume distribution is maximized along the edge of the board to create an aerodynamic, low-drag design that allows you to reach top speed without major problems and stay stable at high speeds. Push the limits for longer. Ergonomic pads and comfortable foot position reduce your fatigue.

GEOMETRY
CONTOURS
The convex deck shape promotes laminar airflow longer over the board. This is noticeable during flight.
The large volume and length increase mass inertia and stabilize the board in the air giving you "Autopilot" level control.
Cutaways help reduce the waterline, making takeoff and landing more efficient.
The high sides give the rider more leverage when leaning to windward, which increases the take-off moment + drive.
HAPTIC SENSITIVITY
The ultra-low mast rail reduces the leverage between the center of gravity in the sail and the foil, which increases forward propulsion and therefore speed.
The higher sides compared to the rest of the deck have two purposes:
/ It gives you a sixth sense when gybing, so you can always find your balance.
/It provides support for your feet when pumping in lighter winds.

Questions for us:
Who is the Hydro for?
If you have a free-race or race foil setup, this is the board you need.
Is the Hydro built for a specific foil?
The Hydro is compatible with any free-race foil, we've specifically designed the footstrap inserts and mast rail to give a huge range of setups. This also means that as your foiling and setup evolves, you can always fine-tune your board to your exact needs.
Length also reduces the violence of catapults. Boards that are too short can cause serious damage from heavy impacts. If the nose of the board doesn't have the length and volume or the length to hold a strong landing, it will be partially submerged and cause an ultra-sudden deceleration, often leading to serious whiplash injuries and damage to equipment.
Another advantage is that it allows us to control the airflow through the board to the sail, having a smoother transition to the rest of the board creates less air pressure at the nose and allows for acceleration.
On the 100 model you will notice that the board is 218.5cm instead of 220. This is because the 100 width boards have a lower top speed and we figured that in a critical race situation, every second to get back on the foil after a tack could be the difference between winning and losing. So we shortened the length a bit to increase the total levitation time during the race downwind and upwind.
For Slalom models, having more top speed on the tack is the top priority.
What sail can I use on the Hydro79?
Hyperglide from 5.0 to 8.0 works well, as do freerace sails.
Where is the ideal pallet position?
You should tune your board to feel balanced at maximum speeds, where you place your pallet will depend on your foil and rig setup. Remember the basics, start in the middle and move forward or back 1cm each time until the board is perfectly balanced at top speeds.
Where should I place the footstraps?
Start with the middle holes, if you feel you need more lift, move them back one. If you feel you have a really strong foil and need more mass in the front, you can move them forward one insert.
On the rear strap you can choose between settings for strong winds, more outward, or for more control, more inward. We recommend starting from the outboard position, and if you feel like you have to take your back foot out of the strap because you are overpowered, you can move it to the control inboard position.
