FOX _PERFORMANCE FREERIDE

The next generation Fox is designed to take freeride performance to the next level. Like its predecessor,

The Fox V3 maximizes full power while maintaining the ability to ride through the choppiest water you can find.

A consistent rocker, moderate tail width, and extreme vee bottom deliver exceptional levels of control. It thrives on excess power. You'll be confident where others start to wary and ride more cautiously. Carve through the corners with the best gybe in the business.

Don't let the comfort fool you - in real-world conditions Fox delivers unmatched fun with high performance.

Questions:
Why do the boards include a powerbox?

Plug and play. The simplicity of having only one screw that works with the same Hex 4 wrench as the footstraps allows for a very quick and easy setup.

What is the function of the integrated pads?

The integrated pads are designed to automatically lift the toes and place the rider in a much more comfortable position. The pads will naturally adjust to the correct posture on the board, so you can lock into position and ride for hours. Calf and shin cramps will no longer shorten your time and fun on the water.

Will a 135 liter board be too small if I was previously used to a 140?

Although the volume of the board has decreased slightly, the new shape of the board has been designed to maintain performance at high RPMs while improving it at lower RPMs. You will find that the board is faster and more stable when planing and in the gybes. Even with 5 liters less or in lighter wind conditions.

Does the FOX V3 come in an HD design?

No.

The nose design is different. How does this affect performance?

The new bow design was intended to be more aesthetically pleasing, but it also offers improved gybing performance.

How many footstrap positions does the FOX V3 offer?

The FOX V3 has inboard and outboard footstrap inserts at the front and rear. Furthermore, each group of inserts offers three options.

How does the footstrap position affect my riding?

Fewer footstrap positions have been included to make your life easier. The middle positions are recommended. Set the footstraps in the rear position for a more race-oriented feel, but use the front holes if you find you need to narrow your stance.,

What sail is best for the FOX V3?

Recommended sails are the SEVERNE NCX if you want a light sail feel without camber. If you want more speed, we recommend the SEVERNE TURBO with camber.

Can the FOX V3 be used as a foil board?

We do not recommend using the FOX V3 as a foil board. The SEVERNE ALIEN is best suited for freeride, the SEVERNE PREDATOR for high-level freeride and freestyle. Finally, the SEVERNE HYDRO serves as a foil racing board.

Are there any nose guards available for the FOX V3?

You can pre-order the FOX V3 with a nose guard. They are factory fitted.

Can I use a larger fin size if I try a larger sail than recommended?

Yes, you can. However, we recommend that you use the included fin for maximum compatibility.

What size should I buy?

It is best to use our size chart as a reference. If you are a more inexperienced rider, you may want to consider one size larger than recommended to have extra volume coming out of the mouths or when planing. If you are very experienced, the size chart is accurate. If in doubt, do not hesitate to ask your nearest Severne dealer or store for detailed advice.

What happens if I use a smaller or larger sail size than recommended?

If you choose a larger sail size than recommended, you may have problems with spinouts and stability when exiting jib. Smaller sails than recommended mean that you sail in stronger winds and on large boards that become more difficult to control. If you are a flat water rider this is not a problem, if you are a choppy sea rider you will find that switching to a smaller board will give you much more control and fun.
