Waste2Wear innovates in the textile industry to use recycled plastics, transforming them into fabrics that Starboard uses for all of our board bags. For every meter of fabric, at least 10 bottles are recovered and used to produce recycled polyester material.
RECYCLED PLASTIC BOTTLES
ReCover covers have an outer layer of RPET 450D fabric made from recycled plastic bottles in partnership with Waste2Wear.
The bottles are cut into flakes, washed, melted and extruded into yarns, then spun into fabric.
/>One bag uses between 30 and 150 bottles. Bottles that are now being put back on the market without the risk of environmental pollution.
