Bottom Shape:

The extra-long, flat bottom allows the board to easily plane and reach take-off speed, while the cutaways help it break away from the water and take off. The huge V-shape from the center of the board to the bow ensures that every landing will be extremely smooth - as with a money-back guarantee.

Ultra-thin profile:

When flying, you want to be as close to your foil as possible - the super-thin fuselage brings you closer to it and increases control. Drake Slick Straps

Drake Slick Straps are made from FSC-certified, sustainable and plant-based Yulex foam. Thanks to the 85% natural rubber content, CO² emissions during production have been reduced by 80%. The remaining 15% is carefully selected synthetic neoprene, which improves UV resistance and provides maximum comfort thanks to its exceptionally soft fabric.
Wood Sandwich

LIGHTWEIGHT BOARDS DESIGNED FROM THE GROUND UP FOR THE LOWEST CARBON FOOTPRINT

Jean Louis Colmas began working on wood sandwich technology back in 1985, and we introduced it into our production in 1994. This collaboration resulted in multiple world championship titles in all windsurfing disciplines and remains a Starboard hallmark to this day. The 0.6mm laminated Australian pine veneer deck increases impact resistance, while the natural unidirectional fibers provide excellent feel and elasticity. With a density of 500kg/m³, the pine absorbs minimal resin, resulting in a lightweight board with a dynamic, precise character. The entire structure is surrounded by a 3mm PVC sandwich that increases durability and provides a classic feel underfoot. An additional protective film protects the wood from long-term exposure to UV rays.
