Drawing inspiration from the success of the mid-aspect Flight Attendant wings, the ElCapitano wings combine some of the most essential design elements from the series and bring them to a higher aspect ratio offering. Designed with intermediate to advanced riders in mind, the ElCapitano series combines high performance with excellent wave-cutting ability. Whether you're breaking speed records on the 575, combining waves on the 995, or effortlessly gliding through the downwind on the 1395, the ElCapitano wings are made for you.

• High performance and wave cutting ability
  Drawing inspiration from the success of the mid-aspect Flight Attendant wings, the ElCapitano wings incorporate some of the most essential design elements of that series into a higher-end, higher-aspect wings. Designed for intermediate to advanced riders, the ElCapitano series combines high performance with excellent wave-cutting ability.
• Exceptional lift-to-drag ratio
  The wing's contour shape and twist maximize lift in the center of the wing, achieving efficiency through zonal lift distribution. This provides an exceptional lift-to-drag ratio in every wing size. These key features, combined with the new section profile, allow the wings to operate over a wide speed range and maintain a low stall speed, providing the best speed and glide on a given surface.
• No Venting
  Reduced wingtip loading allows the wingtips to cut through the water surface without ventilating the rest of the wing. Aggressive wingtip turns are an exciting part of any foiler's progression, and predictability in these key maneuvers is essential. That's why we focused on key design elements to ensure the best and smoothest wing sweep turns. Many of these elements were taken from the success of the Flight Attendant and then optimized to a higher aspect ratio.
• Reshaped Center Section
  The new section has been precisely designed to disperse pressure across the upper and lower surfaces of the wing, eliminating the concentration of suction paths that can interfere with lift.
• Overlapping Wing Tips
  When the wing tip meets the water surface, the angle at which they meet is critical to the risk and severity of ventilation. The curved wingtips allow for a steeper contact angle with the water, significantly reducing the risk of ventilation - whether you're pushing the limits or accidentally breaking the wingtip.
• Smooth and predictable
  Every feature has been carefully harmonized to create a high-performance wing that excels at challenges while providing a smooth and predictable feel.

What was the design goal for the ELCAPITANO?

The ElCapitano was designed with an emphasis on speed, glide, and predictability, with the added benefit of easy wingtip breakup in tight turns. We took the shape elements that make our FlightAttendant series exceptional performers and adapted them to boards with a higher aspect ratio. This results in a foil with a wide speed range, high stability, predictability and ease of wingtip break, all within a high-performance design.

What are the advantages of a high-aspect foil?

High-aspect foils have less drag, allowing for much longer and more efficient glide. In addition, the shorter string makes it easier to pump, making the process more effective and efficient.

Who are these foils for?

With a wide range of sizes, the ElCapitano is suitable for every foil discipline. Although these are high-performance foils, they are not difficult to handle.
